OUR APPROACH
At Wild Roots, our educational approach is centered around nurturing children's curiosity, imagination, and exploration through play-based learning. We provide hands-on experiences that prepare children with essential skills for kindergarten and beyond, tailoring activities to meet their unique developmental needs using the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum. Our environment, both indoors and outdoors, fosters play, as research indicates that natural play areas enhance physical fitness, social skills, creativity, and collaborative play. We aim to instill a love and respect for nature alongside engaging in arts and educational play.
Our mission is to create a calm and nurturing setting that inspires curiosity and creativity through imaginative play and experiential learning. We uphold several core values: we believe every child deserves a supportive space to explore, recognize that each child develops at their own pace, and advocate for accessible and affordable childcare. Our philosophy emphasizes the importance of allowing children to run, play, laugh, and learn from their mistakes, as well as the benefits of calm, natural environments. We trust in children's innate ability to learn from their experiences and emphasize building strong relationships through open communication between Wild Roots staff and parents.

Infant & Toddler Program
Our infant and toddler program serves ages 6 weeks to 2.5 years, focusing on nurturing care that assures parents their child is in good hands. Our carefully selected teachers prioritize each child’s individual needs, ensuring they receive the attention and interaction they deserve. Through daily routines, we promote health, physical development, social-emotional skills, and language growth. Understanding the importance of structure, our teachers collaborate with parents to create a schedule that mirrors home routines, making your child’s experience as comfortable as possible.

Preschool Program
Our preschool program welcomes children aged 2.5 to 5 years, providing a nurturing environment that supports their growth on the journey to kindergarten. During these critical early years, we emphasize the development of peer relationships, language skills, and motor abilities. Our dedicated teachers design engaging and challenging activities that nurture each child's unique interests. To prepare our older preschoolers for school, we focus on essential skills like following directions, effective communication, problem-solving, and self-control. Through a blend of indoor and outdoor fun, our play-based curriculum fosters daily learning experiences that promote curiosity and creativity. We aim to create a well-rounded foundation for lifelong learning.

School Age Program
Our School Age program caters to children from Kindergarten to 12 years old, providing them with opportunities for exploration, creativity, and engaging challenges that help them thrive. This program combines child-planned activities with teacher-guided experiences, ensuring a balanced approach. We offer individualized homework support, team-based projects, and hands-on experiences that extend beyond academics. We also provide before and after school care for Lander Elementary School and are eager to help you learn more about our offerings. Additionally, our summer camp is a highlight for children, creating a perfect blend of learning and enjoyment with a variety of fun, educational activities led by our experienced counselors.
