Where Family Roots Inspire Young Minds
At Wild Roots, we love helping children explore, imagine, and discover the world around them. Through our play-based, hands-on approach using the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum, every activity is designed to support each child’s growth, curiosity, and readiness for kindergarten and beyond. Our classrooms and outdoor spaces are full of opportunities to play, create, and learn. We see firsthand how these experiences build confidence, social skills, and a love of learning every day.
🌿 A Family Legacy Since 1975
Childcare is in our family’s heart—our grandmother opened the first center in 1975! Today, Wild Roots carries on that tradition as a family-owned and operated center, guided by generations of educators with deep experience and a true passion for children.
We place a huge focus on special enrichment classes, including Music, Dance & Gymnastics, and Yoga, giving children the chance to explore new skills, build confidence, and express themselves creatively.
We warmly welcome you to join our community—come take a tour and see firsthand what makes Wild Roots such a special place for children to grow, learn, and thrive.

Infant & Toddler Program
Our infant and toddler program serves ages 6 weeks to 2.5 years, focusing on nurturing care that assures parents their child is in good hands. Our carefully selected teachers prioritize each child’s individual needs, ensuring they receive the attention and interaction they deserve. Through daily routines, we promote health, physical development, social-emotional skills, and language growth. Understanding the importance of structure, our teachers collaborate with parents to create a schedule that mirrors home routines, making your child’s experience as comfortable as possible.

Preschool Program
Our preschool program welcomes children aged 3 to 5 years, providing a nurturing environment that supports their growth on the journey to kindergarten. During these critical early years, we emphasize the development of peer relationships, language skills, and motor abilities. Our dedicated teachers design engaging and challenging activities that nurture each child's unique interests. To prepare our older preschoolers for school, we focus on essential skills like following directions, effective communication, problem-solving, and self-control. Through a blend of indoor and outdoor fun, our play-based curriculum fosters daily learning experiences that promote curiosity and creativity. We aim to create a well-rounded foundation for lifelong learning.

School Age Program
Our School Age program caters to children from Kindergarten to 12 years old, providing them with opportunities for exploration, creativity, and engaging challenges that help them thrive. This program combines child-planned activities with teacher-guided experiences, ensuring a balanced approach. We offer individualized homework support, team-based projects, and hands-on experiences that extend beyond academics. We also provide before and after school care for Lander Elementary School and are eager to help you learn more about our offerings. Additionally, our summer camp is a highlight for children, creating a perfect blend of learning and enjoyment with a variety of fun, educational activities led by our experienced counselors. Join us in inspiring your child's journey this summer!
Special Enrichment Classes
We offer a variety of Enrichment Classes—ALL included in your child’s tuition. Each week, children enjoy YOGA with Ms. Anna, MUSIC with Mr. Matthew, and DANCE & GYMNASTICS with Ms. Victoria, all taught by highly trained, degreed teachers. These classes nurture creativity, confidence, coordination, and teamwork in a fun, educational environment. Music includes a Winter Recital and Graduation Performance, while Dance & Gymnastics ends with a magical, costume-filled year-end showcase. For families looking for even more enrichment, SOCCER SHOTS is available as an optional add-on class, teaching fundamental soccer skills along with important life skills like teamwork, focus, and coordination through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Menu
At Wild Roots, our menu follows USDA and CACFP guidelines to keep little tummies happy and healthy. We serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day, always including at least one whole grain. We offer both an infant menu and a regular menu, and for our littlest learners, we also provide formula and Gerber baby cereals when requested. Breakfast rotates through kid favorites like cheerios, rice krispies, and oatmeal with fresh or canned fruit and milk. Lunch features fun, familiar options such as pizza from local pizzerias, chicken nuggets, meatballs and pasta, rice and beans, waffles, yogurt, turkey and cheese sandwiches, simple veggies like broccoli, corn, carrots, potatoes, and fruits like apples, oranges, peaches, pears, bananas and watermelon. Afternoon snacks include hummus with veggies, homemade zucchini or banana bread, pretzels, cheese and crackers, yummy smoothies, rice cakes with sun butter, and more! We also love adding seasonal fruits and vegetables, hosting monthly cooking classes, and shopping local whenever possible to bring quality ingredients to our families.
